number is (510) 233-7555. Our hours of operation are
Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM,
Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM.
Saturdays are by appointment only. APPS primarily
serves indigent and disadvantaged refugee and
immigrant families who have limited or no access to
mental health care. While APPS' main geographic
service areas are Alameda County and Contra Costa
County, some clients come from cities as far away as
Modesto, Santa Rosa, and Sacramento to receive
culturally and linguistically competent services at
APPS. The Asian population
we serve is extremely diverse in language, ethnicity,
migration history, and level of acculturation. The vast
majority of clients (90%) need to be served in their
native Asian languages. Over 95% of APPS' clients
have Medi-Cal or are uninsured. Many of the families
served are large families with 5-7 children.

The Center for Trauma Processing provides treatment and support for children and families who are traumatized due to abuse, neglect, domestic violence, and other crimes. COFY strives to provide evidence based treatment for trauma in the form of Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Family Therapy, Hyponotherapy and EMDR. Services are provided through California's victim compensation program for those who qualify.

The Lucas Center offers affordable counseling to East
Contra Costa County. Medi-Cal, VOC, and private

Outpatient mental health services for children ages 2-18

psychological testing. Other programs include school based
training for children in coping skills, plus
grandparent support program that provides support for
